Genient Technologies marked its presence at the 15th annual conference of the IAMM Delhi Chapter, MICRO-D-CON 2023, held from November 2nd to 4th at Hotel Holiday Inn Mayur Vihar, New Delhi. The event centered around the theme "Clinical Microbiology in Amrit Kal," drawing together a distinguished faculty comprising renowned microbiologists and clinicians.
New Delhi, October 10, 2024 – Genient Technologies proudly participated in the 1st Annual Clinical Virology Summit, held on October 8-9, 2024, at the prestigious Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS), New Delhi. The event attracted over 200 participants, including renowned medical professionals, researchers, and virologists from across India, making it a landmark gathering in the field of clinical virology.
The summit was inaugurated by esteemed leaders in the medical community, including Dr. B. Srinivas, Secretary of the National Medical Commission, and Dr. TM Nisha from WHO’s South-East Asia Regional Office (SEARO), alongside notable figures from ILBS and King George's Medical University. These distinguished speakers underscored the crucial role that clinical virology plays in public health and highlighted the importance of fostering collaboration in this vital field.
A key highlight of the event was the launch of the Indian Society of Clinical Virology (ISCV), a significant milestone aimed at advancing research and clinical practice in virology within India. Dr. SK Sarin, Chancellor and Director of ILBS, emphasized the pivotal role of ISCV in uniting the country's top virologists to tackle emerging viral threats.
The summit featured a variety of insightful discussions and sessions led by some of India’s most esteemed virologists, including Dr. NK Ganguly, Dr. Priya Abraham, Dr. Nivedita Gupta, and Dr. Pragya Yadav, among others. In addition, Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Dr. Pradeep Seth and Dr. Shobha Broor for their outstanding contributions to advancing clinical virology in India.
The two-day event provided a unique platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and dialogue on the future directions of clinical virology, with a focus on the critical role it plays in public health, diagnostics, and therapeutic innovations.
