Genient Technologies participated in the CME and hands-on workshop titled “HPV and STIs: Screen and Treat,” held on January 29–30, 2026 at the ICMR–National Institute of Research in Tribal Health (ICMR–NIRTH), Jabalpur.

Strengthening Screening and Diagnostic Awareness

The programme, initiated by Dr. Pushpendra Singh under the leadership of the Director of ICMR–NIRTH, brought together experts from clinical practice, research, and diagnostics to strengthen awareness, screening, and molecular diagnostic approaches for HPV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The workshop highlighted the increasing importance of coordinated public health efforts in supporting the global pledge toward the elimination of cervical cancer through early screening, timely diagnosis, and improved access to diagnostic technologies.

Scientific Sessions and Expert Faculty

The scientific sessions were delivered by distinguished experts including Dr. Md. Kausar Neyaz, Ph.D., Dr. Gita Guin, Dr. Vijay Nema, Dr. Poonam Mishra, and Dr. Suyesh Shrivastava. Their sessions covered key topics related to HPV screening strategies, clinical relevance of diagnostics, and laboratory practices in infectious disease management.

Technical Session by Genient Technologies

Representing Genient Technologies, Mr. Shyam Sunder Bulandi conducted a technical session on real-time PCR diagnostics, contributing to practical training and capacity building for undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students attending the programme.

Advancing Women’s Health Through Collaboration

Genient Technologies valued the opportunity to contribute to a programme focused on strengthening knowledge, laboratory readiness, and early diagnostic intervention in women’s health. The workshop reinforced the importance of collaboration between research institutions, clinicians, and diagnostics stakeholders in improving access to reliable screening pathways.

Through its participation, Genient Technologies reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the elimination of cervical cancer by advancing accessible HPV molecular diagnostics, strengthening laboratory capacity, and promoting early screening and awareness across India and other low- and middle-income country (LMIC) settings.
